QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

REQUIRED QUALIFICATION

·           5+ years’ experience in international trade, export and import in “Chemicals and/or Industrial Minerals and Fertilizers”.

·           Having knowledge in any of following sectors is a must; General Chemicals, Glass, Ceramic, Mining, Food & Beverages, Animal Feed, Agriculture

·           Bachelor’s degree of Chemical or Agricultural Engineer is a plus.

·           Proven experience as a Procurement Manager or in a similar role.

·           Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain supplier relationships.

·           In-depth knowledge of procurement regulations, best practices, and market trends.

·           Excellent communication and leadership skills.

·           Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.

·           Analytical and problem-solving abilities.

·           Knowledge about budget management, international trade and taxations.

·           Advanced planning and organization skills, time management, strong decision making.

·           Excellent interpersonal skills, positive attitude and purchase oriented.

·           Advanced level of English is a must, having a knowledge in French & Arabic is a plus.

·           No obstacle to travel.

·           Completed military service for male candidates.

 

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Procurement Manager is responsible for managing all procurement activities. This includes identifying suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services. The Procurement Manager will work closely with the procurement team in different countries,

 

Primary function includes but are not limited to:

·           Develop, lead and execute purchasing strategies

·           Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness

·           Craft negotiation strategies and close deals with optimal terms

·           Partner with stakeholders to ensure clear requirements documentation

·           Forecast price and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer-supplier power

·           Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking

·           Assess, manage and mitigate risks

·           Seek and partner with reliable vendors and suppliers

·           Determine quantity and timing of deliveries

·           Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand

·           Collaborate with sales and operations teams to ensure procurement activities align with company goals and objectives.
